Rothschild & Co hires Brandon Aebersold and Parry Sorensen as Managing Directors in North America

Senior hires bolster the firm’s Restructuring team in the United States.

Rothschild & Co announced today that Brandon Aebersold and Parry Sorensen will join the Restructuring team as Managing Directors. The senior hires strengthen and further enhance the firm’s Restructuring practice in North America. They will be based in Rothschild & Co’s New York office.

Mr. Aebersold brings almost two decades of investment banking and advisory experience to Rothschild & Co. His expertise includes advising on a wide range of corporate finance transactions, including restructurings, M&A and leveraged finance.

Mr. Sorensen is an accomplished banker with deep knowledge in restructuring and liability management dealmaking and diverse advisory experience across industries.

Mr. Aebersold was previously Managing Director and Head of Restructuring and Liability Management, North America, at Lazard. Prior to his long career at Lazard, he worked at the law firm of Simpson, Thacher & Bartlett LLP, where he focused on M&A and leverage finance transactions. He graduated with a B.A. in Political Science from Furman University, a J.D. in Law from the University of Virginia School of Law, and an MBA from the University of Chicago.

Mr. Sorensen was previously Managing Director in the Restructuring and Liability Management Group at Lazard. Prior to this, he worked at Oaktree Capital and Morgan Stanley. Mr. Sorensen graduated with a B.A. in Economics from Harvard College.
