The Role:

Redburn Atlantic’s Salespeople market and distribute all Redburn Atlantic research (including fundamental analysis, the IDEAS systematic tool and our Economic & Technical Analysis work) to professional investors.

Our Junior Equity Salespeople are an integral part of our Sales team, learning about Redburn Atlantic products, developing sales, networking skills, and undertaking relevant professional qualifications. They are expected to support our Senior Salespeople in managing key accounts and in time expected to build their own network and introduce their own new clients.

Responsibilities

  • Learning & understanding the Redburn Atlantic research product (including attending the morning meeting, sales briefings and Redburn Atlantic hosted events) to be able to prepare and write daily client product content.
  • Supporting Senior Salespeople on assigned accounts, including mapping of the account, preparing bespoke emails and alerting senior colleagues to relevant research pieces for promotion to clients.
  • Preparing and sending the regular sales content to the broader client base (RA Morning, SNAP, regional variations…)
  • Supporting the Sales Team on more specific client content, e.g. Client Best Ideas Presentations, Thematic work…
  • Understanding the CRM database as a tool and maintaining it to ensure accurate client data is available.
  • Responsibility for coordinating and hosting Redburn Atlantic Connect / Crash Course events, both in person and virtually. Requiring the ability to network and identify relevant junior clients across the full client base and developing relationship building/hosting skills.
  • Prospecting for new clients by using data sources and tools available including McLagan, Bloomberg, HFM, the FT and by building own industry knowledge and network.
  • Developing relationships and client service skills with new client and allocated client contacts – via organising and hosting client meetings, client entertainment and corporate access events.
  • Accurately maintaining the Tier 1 Jira board and proactively assisting Senior Salespeople in any prospecting activities.
  • Understanding the work and products of other internal departments, building effective relationships with colleagues in Corporate Access, Execution, ECM, Fundamental Research, IDEAS and Charts teams.
  • Working with these wider Redburn Atlantic teams to support or assist in any projects and events and ensuring that any information, market updates/new projects or initiatives are shared appropriately across teams and with Sales team colleagues to maximise ideas generation for coverage and target the key client audience.
  • Organising and coordinating events and logistics, when required.

Training:

  • In the UK - completion of the CISI Capital Markets Programme and CFA Programme.
  • In Europe – completion of the AMF Certificate.
  • On-the-desk training, shadowing colleagues across the wider firm and supporting Senior Salespeople.
  • Attending the internal courses to enhance valuation and accountancy understanding.
  • Attending Best Practice sessions hosted by senior members of the Redburn team.

This role is a controlled function under the FCA rules. Employees must obtain and maintain certification in order to be employed in a controlled function.
