Rothschild & Co expands Global Investor Advisory and appoints Matt Hall as MD, Head of UK Investor Advisory
Rothschild & Co today announces the expansion of its Investor Advisory business to become Global Investor Advisory, strengthening its capability to deliver integrated capital markets advice to corporate clients globally.
Global Investor Advisory is Rothschild & Co’s independent capital markets advisory business, focused on delivering integrated capital markets advice to Boards and senior management, building on the Rothschild & Co Redburn research platform and our integrated market leading Global Corporate Access capabilities. The relaunch reflects the evolution of our services and a focus on supporting corporate clients with more coordinated capital markets expertise.
Global Investor Advisory will support Companies in all aspects of their ongoing capital markets engagement, including M&A and ECM transactions, activist defence, capital allocation and shareholder returns, perception studies, equity story, investor targeting and access to capital worldwide, ESG and geopolitics. In 2025, Investor Advisory supported over 80 public and private companies globally, including some of largest companies in the UK and Europe with 15% of the FTSE100 as retained mandates.

As part of this expansion, Rothschild & Co today announced the appointment of Matt Hall as Managing Director and Head of UK Investor Advisory effective 27 May 2026.
Prior to joining Rothschild & Co, Matt was at UBS, where he was Vice Chair of UK Investment Banking. He brings extensive experience advising mid and large-cap corporate clients on capital markets and M&A transactions, including corporate broking, with long standing established relationships at Board and senior management level and with some of the largest Investors in the UK, which will be invaluable in his new role. Prior to UBS, Matt spent over ten years at Deutsche Bank, where he served as Head of Corporate Broking, and earlier held roles at CSFB.
Matt will work closely with teams across Global Advisory and Global Markets Solutions and Rothschild & Co Redburn to support clients with integrated, senior-level advice. This appointment reflects Rothschild & Co’s continued investment in senior capability to support Boards and management teams, including the appointment of Andrew Grant in 2025.
